How to get your Wedding Groove back on Track!

If you are feeling at a little bit of a loose end at the moment, waiting to hear some good news about when services and celebrations might resume, I've come up with some really easy plan and prep ideas that might just help you get back into the wedding groove. Aside from hiring beautiful and unique wedding decorations and props, we totally L O V E being able to help with wedding planning and top tips! So without further ado, here's my list for this week's Wedding 'Try it Tuesday'!:

1. Wedding Favours

How about researching or hand-making the perfect little thank you for your guests? For some FAB favour inspo, do have a look at my Wedding Favour blog here. It’s packed with lots of DIY ideas if you feel like getting crafty, together with budget friendly buy-it-now options for favours that people won’t want to leave behind on the tables at the end of your big day!

2. Wedding Stationery

How about designing your own Save the Dates and Wedding Invitations? There are lots of fabulous suppliers out there that can make these for you, but designing your own is actually easier than you might think. For example, have a look at Banana Print for some great templates and prices (you can even upload your own bespoke design if you prefer).

3. Confetti

You might have seen my earlier post on this. It’s so easy to make your own confetti - it smells absolutely divine and is totally free to make! It’s a real joy to see my huge confetti jar already filling up ready for weddings later this year! Follow the link here for an easy ‘how to’.

4. Placeholder Names

I made my own little name cards for my wedding using Microsoft Word and if you have a printer, it’s super easy to do. Once you have all your name cards, there are lots of crafting ideas online showing you how to make holders out of pine cones, mini-log slices, corks or wire. Pinterest is jammed-packed full of wonderful inspiration for DIY placeholder options.

And if printed cards aren’t your thing, why not have a go at making wedding place stones by painting pebbles with the names of your guests? These can also double-up as wonderful personalised wedding favours!

5. Table Plan

Seating can sometimes take a bit of jiggling to get right! I recommend using an online plan such as the one on UK Bride, which allows you to drop in the names of your guests. It takes a little time to set up but then you can easily swap the seats around, as and when people confirm/decline. You can also print it off when finished to hand to your venue /caterers – wedding planning made super easy!

6. Music Playlist

Time to sort through your favourite tunes and get them all in one place! If you are anything like me, this took much longer than I thought it would! Think about your First Dance, music for your guests pre-ceremony, music to walk down the aisle to, music post-cermony; and not forgetting those all-important tunes to party on down to in the evening! If you have arranged or are thinking about booking a wedding DJ or band, they will be able to recommend tried and tested floor-fillers, but it's always hugely helpful to have your own list of songs you definitely want to be played.

These are just a few little ideas to get you in the wedding groove, and I’d love to know how you get on if you try any of them. If you have any more you’d like to share with other brides & grooms-to-be, please feel free to pop them in a comment or share on our Facebook page – that would be lovely!

In the meantime, don't forget I'm always here to help in any way I can with rescheduling dilemmas, wedding ideas or chat and advice about all things wedding décor related.
